Choose the scope before the number
Start by deciding what you want from the appointment. A shorter session may suit a focused treatment, while a longer booking can leave more time for several areas. Do not assume the same duration means the same sequence at every salon. Ask what the therapist normally includes, whether the consultation is part of the quoted time and whether both guests receive the full duration simultaneously. If you have a single clear priority, tell the provider before booking so the advertised full-body format does not create an expectation it cannot meet.
When 60 minutes fits your plans
An hour can be a practical starting point for guests who want a substantial appointment without committing most of an afternoon. That is a planning choice, not a guarantee that every body area will receive equal attention. If you want a particular style or have an area you would prefer excluded, discuss this rather than assuming it fits the standard programme. Keep arrival and changing time separate in your diary. An appointment described as 60 minutes might require more time at the venue even if the hands-on part is clearly stated.
What to check for longer sessions
For 90 or 120 minutes, ask how the extra time is used. It might mean slower work across the same areas, additional areas or a package containing another treatment. Those are different products. Consider whether both partners want a longer session and whether the salon can accommodate different preferences in the same booking. Do not select a more intense technique just because more time is available. Duration and pressure are separate choices, and you should still feel comfortable asking for a change during the appointment.
Make a like-for-like budget decision
Compare verified prices for the same duration and price basis, then inspect the booking conditions. A longer session may have a lower price per minute without being the right purchase for you. Calculate your total budget including travel and optional extras, and decide what you would actually use. If the listing does not include a price for your preferred duration, ask the provider rather than estimating it from another treatment. Confirm availability for two before arranging the rest of your day; a longer simultaneous slot may be more restrictive than a single appointment.
